Description

IC 443 (also known as the Jellyfish Nebula and Sharpless 248 (Sh2-248)) is a supernova remnant in the constellation Gemini. It is located near the star Eta Geminorum. Its distance is roughly 5,000 light years from Earth.

This winter has not been kind to my astrophotography hobby. Nothing from November 27 through mid-February. One clear night this week, narrowband targets getting scarce, I decided to see what I could get on this target. Only about 5 hours data because of my backyard open sky limitations, and now it looks like another week before a clear night, so I processed what I have.
